Shakhtar Donetsk striker Georgiy Sudakov has played down interest from Juventus.
Sudakov admits he doesn’t see Juve’s system suiting his football.
He said, “Since this possibility of leaving Shakhtar began, I have been watching many matches of various teams The way I play will count 100% in choosing my next club. I saw that Juventus only plays 3-5-2, I don’t think it’s a formation suited to my characteristics.
“I know well, however, that to reach certain levels I don’t there is only 4-3-3 or 4-4-2. You have to be creative, versatile and know how to adapt by studying every day.”
Sudakov also said: “Galatasaray, Manchester City and Barcelona? I don’t know about negotiations with them. However, I know that there were official proposals from Juventus and Napoli: Shakhtar refused 40 million from Napoli, Sergei Anatolyevich Palkin told me (the CEO). Of course, at first I was a little upset, but then I understood the club’s reasons: I haven’t given everything yet and they obviously want to get more out of my transfer. And so I agreed to renew until the winter of 2028, extending for another 6 months, because my contract was until the summer, with a higher salary and very convenient conditions: some said that Shakhtar threw me a bone, but that’s not the case. They speak inappropriately.
“However, Palkin said that maybe in 6 months or a year I will go to Europe: I trust him and the president.”
