Second Bayern Munich star linked with Barcelona due to relationship with Hansi Flick

With Barcelona defender Ronald Araujo of interest to Bayern Munich, Joshua Kimmich a top target for the Blaugrana if they can move for him financially, and Bayern one of the few teams that Frenkie de Jong could potentially be open to moving to, the two clubs are set to be involved in plenty of talks this summer. The appointment of Hansi Flick will only help foment those discussions.

According to L’Equipe, Flick maintains an excellent relationship with Bayern winger Kingsley Coman, and could try to persuade him to move to Barcelona, as carried by Sport. Coman could be on his way out of Bayern, depending on Vincent Kompany’s decision on him. Thee 27-year-old has three years remaining on his deal.

As ever with Barcelona, the finances are likely to be the major issue. Unless the Blaugrana can make one or two big sales, a deal seems impossible, even if he is on the market. Coman would fit the bill for Barcelona in the sense that can play on the left wing, but equally he now has a worrying injury record behind him, and is currently recovering from an anterior cruciate ligament tear.
