Erik Ten Hag expects to find out in days if he will be sacked by Man United

ERIK TEN HAG reportedly expects to find out if he will be sacked by Manchester United in the next few days.

The Dutchman’s future is up in the air with the United board said to be considering his future.

The club began their end of season review last week – after their FA Cup triumph over Manchester City at Wembley.

Ten Hag was heading for the sack if he lost that match, with fan support giving him a chance at staying in the role.

The United boss went on holiday after winning the FA Cup and is hoping to find out this week whether he or not he will be sacked, report Sky Sports.

The Red Devils have considered bringing in a new manager with former Barcelona boss Xavi the latest name to be linked.

Kieran McKenna, Mauricio Pochettino, Thomas Tuchel, Gareth Southgate, Thomas Frank and Graham Potter all remain in the frame to take the reins at Old Trafford this summer.

Whoever gets to sit in the hot seat will have to agree to several rules which Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his close aides believe will take the club forward.

It includes any new boss coming into line with a style of play blueprint that will be enforced on all levels of the club — and set out by new technical director Jason Wilcox.

New co-owner Ratcliffe wants the new manager to agree to a recruitment model based on bringing in five new players under the age of 25 this summer to build a fitter, stronger and faster team.
