Bradley faces battle to be fit for title run-in after sustaining ankle injury

Full back Conor Bradley is facing a battle to be fit again for Liverpool’s title run-in after suffering an ankle injury in the loss against Crystal Palace on Sunday.

The Reds will look to overturn a 3-0 deficit against Atalanta on Thursday before a trip to Fulham on Sunday.

The Northern Irish full back, 20, has had a breakthrough season at Anfield and deputised capably for injured Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Luckily for Liverpool, Bradley’s injury comes when Alexander-Arnold is fit again, though the youngster will likely miss several key fixtures.

The 20-year-old has made 10 appearances in the top-flight this season, picking up one goal and three assists in the process.

After their trip to Craven Cottage, Jurgen Klopp’s side will travel to Everton and West Ham as they look to get their Premier League title charge back on track.

With six games left, Liverpool are two points behind Manchester City and level with Arsenal – albeit with an inferior goal difference – after losing at home to Crystal Palace on Sunday.

After their defeat to the Eagles, fellow full back Andy Robertson bemoaned their wasteful finishing and inadequate defending.

‘It’s been the story of the last few games and that’s why we have been punished,’ Robertson grumbled.

‘We are struggling to keep clean sheets right now. I don’t know how many we have had in the last 10 or 15 games but it won’t be many. When you do that, you have to take chances, it’s that simple.

‘The boys in front of goal have to do better. But the boys at the back, as defensive unit as a whole, we have to do better.

‘It isn’t a great thing for success. It was so frustrating, we had so many chances. First half I thought we were poor and they were in top and could have been more than 1-0 up.

‘Second half we had enough chances to win two or three games.’
