Inter Milan captain Lautaro Martinez enjoyed their title celebrations after Sunday’s draw with Lazio.

The 1-1 result marked Inter’s last home game of the season.

“I couldn’t wait for this special day. My family is here, all the fans are here. It was the final home game of the season. We wanted to win, but we met a team fighting for the Champions League,” Lautaro told DAZN.

“We deserved this title; we must be proud of what we did because we had an excellent season.”

On doubts about Suning’s control of the club, the striker said: “They [directors] deal with this thing, we are focused on the pitch. We are calm, and today, we must enjoy this moment, and we must enjoy this party with our families and our fans.

“Perhaps it was for this reason too (his contract us yet to be settled). I don’t know what will happen now, but surely this week, before the end, we must try to reach an agreement.”
