Two more EPL bosses ‘on Bayern Munich’s shortlist to replace Tuchel as manager’

Two more Premier League bosses are in the running to become the next Bayern Munich manager, according to new reports.

The German giants are seeking a new boss for next season after Thomas Tuchel confirmed his exit, after failing to reach an agreement to remain in place for another campaign.

While Brighton’s Roberto De Zerbi has been linked – and then distanced – from the vacancy in Munich, two other Premier League managers are possible options for the job.

Brentford’s Thomas Frank and Burnley’s Vincent Kompany have both been rumoured for the Bayern Munich position, according to shared reports on X (formerly Twitter).

BILD Sport reported that Frank was under consideration, following his success with the West London Bees, who have secured a fourth season in the Premier League.

It is thought that Frank was a standout choice from the English top flight, as they looked to avoid choosing an option from the traditional ‘top six’ clubs.

Meanwhile, Fabrizio Romano revealed that Kompany has been considered as an option at several clubs, including Bayern, in recent days.

This comes despite being relegated with Burnley, having seen them up from the Championship last term.

Tuchel’s announcement will inevitably fuel speculation about a potential move to Manchester United, with the future of head coach Erik ten Hag still unclear.

Brighton are also seeking their own manager to replace De Zerbi.

The Italian insisted he had not received any job offers following his sudden departure from the Seagulls.

Bayern Munich’s sporting director confirmed their new boss won’t be from Italy, which ruled De Zerbi out of the job in Germany.

De Zerbi was also linked with Barcelona as a replacement for Xavi, before his U-turn to continue at the Catalan giants until the end of his contract in June 2025.
