BBC announce Euro 2024 pundits including Shearer & Rooney alongside 2 EPL bosses

GARETH SOUTHGATE has chosen his 33-man training squad for the Euros and now the BBC have named their star studded cast too.

Fans can expect big names bringing them the Beeb’s broadcasts this summer as a whole host of presenting royalty and superstar ex-footballers have been announced for the coverage.

The BBC will be showing 27 LIVE MATCHES throughout the tournament as they set up base in the heart of Berlin for an exciting summer.

Familiar faces such as Gary Lineker, Alex Scott, Gabby Logan and Mark Chapman will head up the coverage for the BBC in the studio.

Fans can look forward to Match of the Day regulars Alan Shearer and Micah Richards also joining the presenters in the Berlin.

Other pundits include former England internationals Frank Lampard, Ellen White and Rio Ferdinand.

While Scotland will be represented by women’s team captain Rachel Corsie and former Tartan Army star James McFadden.

Ex-Wales international and BBC punditry regular Ashley Williams will also form part of the team.

There will be some new faces too with Three Lions heroes Joe Hart and Wayne Rooney both making their BBC punditry debuts for the tournament.

While those wanting an opinion from the continent can look forward to the thoughts of Arsenal, Barcelona and Spain legend Cesc Fabregas – a two-time winner of the European Championships.

And as if that slew of talent wasn’t enough, the BBC have enlisted the help of two Premier League bosses to offer up their expertise.

Outgoing West Ham manager David Moyes will discuss his beloved Scotland during the tournament.

While Brentford’s Danish boss Thomas Frank will form part of the coverage during England’s group stage clash with Denmark, as well as staying for a number of other ties.

Even more former pros will join the team as co-commentators, with Martin Keown, Jermain Jenas and Danny Murphy set to be on the mic from the stadiums.

The BBC have also announced a NEW CHANNEL for their coverage.

Supporters will be able to kick back in their armchairs and watch the brand new BBC iPlayer Euros channel.

Fans will be able to watch all 27 of the BBC’s games on the channel as well as highlights, in depth analysis and home nation camp reports.
