Man Utd open ‘talks with Kieran McKenna as they draw up four-man shortlist’

KIERAN McKENNA’S representatives have reportedly met Manchester United chiefs.

Until now the Ipswich boss has been rated behind Mauricio Pochettino for the Old Trafford job, should Erik ten Hag leave.

But Sky Sports’ Rob Dorsett claims McKenna’s reps have held discussions with Old Trafford duo Omar Berrada and Jason Wilcox.

Ten Hag’s future is rated as in the balance – even if the Red Devils beat neighbours Manchester City in Saturday’s FA Cup final.

Meanwhile, McKenna has also been linked with Chelsea and Brighton.

The Times say United have drawn up a four-man shortlist in case Ten hag does depart.

Apart from ousted Chelsea chief Pochettino and McKenna, another ex-Stamford Bridge boss in Thomas Tuchel is rated a contender.

Brentford’s Thomas Frank is the fourth name.
