LA Galaxy eyeing up shock move for Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski

Ahead of the summer transfer window opening next month, the future of Robert Lewandowski has been widely speculated upon. In recent weeks, the Polish striker has been linked with a move away from Barcelona, although he has stated on numerous occasions that he has no plans to depart before the end of his contract.

Lewandowski’s remarks have not stopped clubs taking an interest in signing him. He’s been linked with Saudi Arabia, and now Diario AS have reported that MLS side LA Galaxy are keen on the 35-year-old.

LA Galaxy are close to signing Marco Reus following the expiration of his Borussia Dortmund contract, and they want to reunite the two close friends in Los Angeles. That possibility could be enticing for Lewandowski.

For now, a deal does appear unlikely, although Barcelona would probably welcome a sale this summer because of Lewandowski’s salary situation. Still, they’d need his approval, which is unlikely to come any time soon.
