Jurgen Klopp is spotted with fellow ex-Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers in Spain

Jurgen Klopp has begun his new life in Spain but seemingly can’t quite escape Liverpool as he posed for pictures with former fellow former boss Brendan Rodgers in the sun.

Klopp left the Anfield club at the end of the season after nine fruitful campaigns at the helm of the Reds, winning both the Premier League and Champions League as well as numerous domestic cup titles.

His final campaign at the helm saw Liverpool pick up a Carabao Cup, but fall short in their quest for an unprecedented quadruple, though Klopp was sent off with a bang after a 2-0 win over Wolves.

He was then treated to one final farewell with an emotionally-charged Q&A session at the Liverpool M&S Bank Arena, before moving to Spain where he is set to begin the next chapter of his life.

However it was perhaps a quicker return to his Anfield history than he might have suspected, after bumping into his Reds predecessor Rodgers who was in conversation with a Belfast-based journalist.

The two ex Liverpool managers then posed for a picture with the Northern Irish journalist, Steven Beacom, the German’s wife Ulla capturing the moment.

Beacom posted the picture with Klopp and Rodgers all smiles, with the caption: ‘Three guys out in the Spanish sun, two magnificent managers and one fun pic…

‘Great to see Brendan and Jurgen looking so relaxed and enjoying themselves.’

Klopp has been enjoying his time off from football, having already been spotted at the Champions League final to watch his former side Borussia Dortmund take on Real Madrid at Wembley back in May.

MailOnline revealed in May that Klopp was set to stay at a luxury five-star hotel in the Balearic Islands.

Klopp will stay in the hotel in five-star Kimpton Aysla Hotel with his wife of 20 years, Ulla, while construction work finishes on their new £3.4million villa.

The mansion has been billed as an ‘ecological family paradise’, which he purchased in June 2022 for €4m (£3.4m) from Swiss businessman and artist Rolf Knie and decided to completely rebuild.

Klopp took to his newly launched Instagram account to update fans after embarking on holiday following his departure from Anfield, which has included playing padel.

‘What I’ve been up to? Working on my game!’ Klopp captioned a clip.

‘Five days ago was the big goodbye,’ Klopp said. ‘I still try to process everything, what happened that day and then in the days around. Slightly settled now.

‘I am actually not sure if I said it clear enough, thank you, thank you for everything.

‘Thank you for the love, thank you for the support, it was a wonderful day.

‘The best experience I could have ever imagined, really outstanding.

‘Now, what I am doing is I try, no, I follow my other big passion, I try to improve my padel game.

‘I started a few days ago, today is my third session and I started on an extremely low level, didn’t play for a while and felt it immediately.

‘Step by step I will get there.’

Rodgers meanwhile will be enjoying his time off after a brilliant Double back at Celtic, having fended off the challenge of Rangers to continue their domination of Scottish football.
