Inside stunning Euro 2024 camps picked by big teams

ENGLAND’S stars are spending Euro 2024 at the Weimarer Land spa & golf resort in Blankenhain.

The Three Lions beat Austria to the booking of the five-star hotel in central Germany.

Features of the site include two 18-hole golf courses and training pitches for Gareth Southgate’s sessions.

Having arrived on Monday, England trained in front of a small crowd in nearby Jena on Tuesday.

England begin their campaign against Serbia in Gelsenkirchen on Sunday before clashes with Denmark and Slovenia in group C.

Meanwhile, their rivals for glory at Euro 2024 have also been arriving at their own training bases.

Features elsewhere include a two-star Michelin restaurant, a cooking school and even a coffee roastery for players to use.

Here is a look at five other team bases for the tournament in Germany.

Germany – Adidas Home Ground, Herzogenaurach

Despite also showing interest in Weimarer Land, hosts Germany will instead be based at their custom-built facilities at Adidas headquarters.

The site was also used by the three-time winners during Euro 2020 three years ago.

Home Ground consists of cabin-like buildings and was designed to feel like a village inside a forest.

A central square also includes restaurants, offices and health facilities, with bedrooms coming with views of the nearby forest.

Italy – Four Seasons Hotel, Iserlohn

Reigning champions Italy are based close to their opening two matches in Dortmund and Gelsenkirchen.

Their Four Seasons Hotel in North Rhine-Westphalia is not part of the global chain, though, and instead a family-run business.

The peaceful site is surrounded by forests and lakes, with the entire hotel shut down for the Luciano Spalletti’s squad.

Facilities include a large indoor pool, spa, sauna and rain shower.

Players can also make use of a coffee roastery and mini-golf course which are both available to guests.

Spain – The Oschberghof, Donaueschingen

Located in the Black Forest in south-west Germany, Spain’s base has as many as five restaurants on site.

The pick of the bunch is the Osch Noir Restaurant, which has been awarded two Michelin stars.

Spain’s five-star hotel also has three golf courses with 45 holes in total, table tennis and table football on offer.

Elsewhere, players can make use of state-of-the-art gym facilities, a spa and both indoor and outdoor swimming pools.

France – Best Western Premier Park Hotel & Spa, Bad Lippspringe

France will spend the tournament at the four-star Best Western Premier Park Hotel & Spa.

Didier Deschamps’ side are also set to train nearby at the home of 2. Bundesliga side Paderborn.

Their hotel includes an indoor swimming pool and spa centre as part of the facilities.

The on-site Karl Restaurant will also serve regional and Mediterranean food for the players.

A piano club is amongst the other features, with a golf club just two kilometres away.

The hotel is situated next to the Teutoburg Forest and has a large water fountain at its entrance to welcome the players on arrival.

Portugal – Monastery Gate, Harsewinkel

As they did for the 2006 World Cup, Portugal will be based in North Rhine-Westphalia.

The Euro 2016 winners are using the same hotel as they did 18 years ago, when they beat England on their way to the semi-finals.

Their four-star hotel has two restaurants and a bistro on offer for guests.

Facilities also include a cooking school for any wannabe cooks in Roberto Martinez’s squad.

Along with several of the other bases, their are multiple golf courses nearby.

Meanwhile, a spa, bicycles to rent and a gym are amongst the features available on site.
