Antonio Rüdiger says his index finger gesture in the UEFA photoshoot had no religious background.

“The photo was taken as part of the official UEFA Euro shoot. Several dozen other players from all sorts of European teams also did this pose. There are over 50 player photos, partly because the UEFA photographer requested them exactly like that. I explained in detail back in March my position on this discussion. And of course that’s still exactly the same and will never change”
